Master Callsign Database

The DX4WIN Master Callsign database was last updated on 9 February 2010. It contains 42,492 callsigns of active contesters and DXers. This data is derived from the Super Check Partial database maintained by Bob Raymond, WA1Z, released on 31 January 2010.

If you are using DX4WIN 7.06 or later, download from THIS LINK

If you are using DX4WIN 7.05 or earlier, download from THIS LINK

After you download the ZIP archive, extract DX4WIN.MAS or DX4WIN.MAS1 to your DX4W### directory (not the SAVE directory).

For more information on creating/using master callsign databases in DX4WIN, please see this Application Note.

Membership List

This membership list contains only ARRL LoTW and eQSL members. The LoTW members comes from an unofficial list maintained by Robert, HB9BZA. The eQSL members list contains only stations that have Authenticity Guaranteed status, i.e. are good for CQ and/or eQSL awards.

The file was last updated on 9 February 2010. Click on this link to download it. The timestamps on the membership lists are shown below:

297203 Feb 8 18:00 AGMemberList.txt  (eQSL)
239857 Feb 7 12:39 lotw1.txt         (LoTW)

To install, unzip the file and save DX4WIN.MAS2 to your DX4W### directory (not the SAVE directory). Changes won't appear until you restart DX4WIN.

To add members to this list, you can read this Application Note.

Font Files

Click here for Windows installation instructions for the above fonts.

The Consolas font looks nice if you are running Windows XP on an LCD monitor with ClearType enabled. Here is a screen shot. Although the font itself is free, it requires Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or later. If you don't have that installed, the easiest way to get the font is to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, then install the Consolas Font Pack.

RIG Files

If the .RIG file displays in your browser instead of downloading, use your browser's Back button, then right-click on the .RIG file name and select "Save As..."

CSTR=060003FD

RTTY QSOs logged as Packet

If your RTTY QSOs are being incorrectly logged as Packet (as happens with some Ten-Tec and Yaesu radios), then follow this procedure:

  1. Identify the .RIG file that DX4WIN is using to control the radio. The file can be found in the dx4w###\radios directory.
  2. Exit DX4WIN completely.
  3. Edit the .RIG file in a plain text editor, like notepad.
  4. Look for the [MODES] section in the file:
[MODES]
AM=4;4;N
CW=2,3;2,3;Y
FM=5;5;N
PACK=6;6;N
SSB=1,0;1,0;N
  1. Change the word "PACK" above to "RTTY"
  2. Save the .RIG file.
  3. Start DX4WIN. Log a QSO and see if the correct mode is logged.
