The Consolas font looks nice if you are running Windows XP on an LCD monitor
with ClearType enabled. Here is a screen shot.
Although the font itself is free, it requires Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or later.
If you don't have that installed, the easiest way to get the font is to install
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, then install the
Consolas Font Pack.
If the .RIG file displays in your browser instead of downloading, use your
browser's Back button, then right-click on the .RIG file name and select "Save As..."

RTTY QSOs logged as Packet
If your RTTY QSOs are being incorrectly logged as Packet (as happens with some Ten-Tec and Yaesu radios), then follow this procedure:
- Identify the .RIG file that DX4WIN is using to control the radio. The
file can be found in the dx4w###\radios directory.
- Exit DX4WIN completely.
- Edit the .RIG file in a plain text editor, like notepad.
- Look for the [MODES] section in the file:
[MODES]
AM=4;4;N
CW=2,3;2,3;Y
FM=5;5;N
PACK=6;6;N
SSB=1,0;1,0;N
- Change the word "PACK" above to "RTTY"
- Save the .RIG file.
- Start DX4WIN. Log a QSO and see if the correct mode is logged.
